SEMPORNA: Attempt of four Filipinos including two women to illegally enter the country if foiled when they were arrested by Semporna Marine Police (PPM) at the waters of Laut Samar, around 10.30pm last night.

Sabah PPM Commander, ACP Mohamad Madun, said the four illegals were onboard a pump boat when they were arrested by PPM personnel on special duty at the area.

“All of them are aged between 16 to 40 years old and have been arrested after failing to show any identification document when inspection was carried out on them.

“The boat operator also admitted to enter the nation’s waters from Sitangkai, Philippine, without a proper document,” he said.

All the arrested have been brought to Semporna PPM jetty for further investigation under Section 6 (1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63. –SayangSabah
