KOTA KINABALU: The Palace Hotel Kota Kinabalu’s first activity this year benefited 63 girls of the  Student Dormitory St. Maria Goretti Binaong, Keningau.

This visit was to present the girls with Christmas presents from the previous year where the hotel had picked names of the girls and hung them on the Christmas tree.

Guests and staff of the hotel then picked the names of their gifts recipients and presented the present to the management to be distributed to the respective girls aged between 13 and 19 years old.

The visit to the home was received with eagerness by the girls with the caretakers of the home Franciscan Sisters, Sister Hilda Gundolot, Marysia plating and  Mathilda as well as several staff members.

The girls were feted with food from the hotel augmented by food that the girls cooked themselves. There were also a welcoming reception where the girls sang and danced.

Palace Hotel General Manager Phang Joo See expressed her appreciation to the reception  and said more of such event will be held in future.

Also present during the event were long term hotel guests  from Sweden, Bruce and Sylvia Nilsson, and  Stella Moluntang, Communications Manager, Daisy Mak, Communications Executive  as well as Lyvonder Cryiasus, Multimedia Coordinator.- Sayangsabah
