KOTA KINABALU: Studies carried out by Department of Skills Development (JPK) found that 95 percent of employers and workers are positive with the marketability of National Dual Training System (SLDN) graduates.
Sabah and Labuan JPK Director, Mohd Azmi Pelah, said SLDN is an industry-based training system where 80 percent of its practical training is done at industrial companies, while 20 percent is theoretical-based at the training centre.
“SLDN is to produce experienced human resource equipped with technical and theoretical knowledge such as problem solving, planning, and supervising,” he said in his speech for the National Dual Training System Presentation Ceremony, here today.
About 12 participants received their SLDN participation certificates from Stella Beauty Salon training centre, and SPA.
According to him, SLDN training operates based on smart partnership concept between industrial companies and the government, which is expected to be able to handle skills inadequacy issues raised by industy-based employers.
In this regard, he hopes for the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills that they have acquired from the training programme. – SayangSabah
