SERI KEMBANGAN: Relatives, acquaintances and neighbours have been calling at the home of Rompin MP Tan Sri Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis who was one of six people on board a helicopter that crashed in Semenyih, Kajang, yesterday.
The visitors, who have been coming since 10 pm yesterday, recited prayers.
One of the visitors was Lembah Pantai Umno Division head Datuk Seri Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin, a former minister.
A group of 25 students from the Maahad Tahfiz Manbaul Huffaz religious school in Cheras, led by Ustaz Luthfi Aziz Hamzah, were also at the house reciting prayers.
Jamaluddin’s name was on the list of six people who had been on the helicopter that crashed in a rubber smallholding at 4.55 pm. It is believed that the aircraft was flying from Pekan, Pahang, to Subang, Selangor, when it went down.
The bodies removed from the crash site had been brought to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for identification.
Meanwhile, relatives and neighbours also called at the home of Datuk Azlin Alias, principal private secretary to the prime minister, whose name was also on the manifest.
They thronged the house in Saujana Impian, Kajang, from last evening and recited prayers.
According to the family driver, Faizul Mat Rasit, Azlin and his wife Datin Azlina Mohamad have two sons and a daughter, and the eldest – a son – is studying in the United Kingdom. – BERNAMA
