ROBEBR

TAWAU: A grocery shop owner lost RM10,000 when robbed by an armed man when he pulled over to urinate by a roadside in Jalan Benta, Kalabakan, yesterday,

Tawau police chief ACP Fadil Marsus said the victim, aged 36, was on his way from Benta, Kalabakan, to Merotai Besar in a Nissan Frontier when he stopped at the roadside at about 6.45 pm yesterday.

“An unidentified man suddenly approached him from the back and at knife-point, demanded the victim to hand over his money and then fled with two other men on two motorcycles, he said in a statement here today.

He said the victim could not identify the suspects as they were wearing crash helmet with visor and the place was dark.
