Graduates are in demand

KOTA KINABALU: The demand for well-trained graduates in entrepreneurship is on the raise now in Malaysia as more new shopping centre mushrooming nationwide.

New graduates can earn between RM5,000 and RM20,000 per month in manager or any management level for any retail and franchise store or they can be a franchisee corporate business partner of renowned store such as Bonia, Watatime, Paparich, Old Town, KFC or McDonald.

Such opportunity is provided by the Optopreneur College in Kuala Lumpur who is now offering 60 scholarships for Sabahans to take up courses in their institute.

Its founder and chief executive Prof Dato’ Dr Chin See Kiat said this yesterday as he is now in Kota Kinabalu to promote the scholarship with collaboration with the Young Malaysia Movement (YMM) Sabah Branch.

The college also offered courses in English proficiency programme, certificate in retailing (two years programme) and diploma in retail management (inclusive franchising syllabus- three years programme) which is approved by the Ministry of Education recently, he said.-Sayangsabah.
