KENINGAU:  The service and sacrifice of former Border Scouts to protect the security and peace of the country especially during the Malaysia-Indonesia Confrontation are not forgotten.

While they may have lost their strength due to old age, they will always be remembered as heroes by today’s young generation.

To appreciate their services, Bingkor UMNO Youth, led by Eusebius Francis, has organized a visit and donation contributions for the five former Border Scouts who are now a senior citizen.

They are Ganit Ansagub, Limam Angkalal, Omopor Lungkung, Rayan Ansikok, and Bakukang Kandingau.

According to Eusebius, the contributions in the form of foods and cash are part of the programmes organized for the celebration of this year’s Good Friday.

He added that the donations are a symbol of remembrance for the struggles and sacrifices made by the former Border Scouts members. – SayangSabah
