KOTA KINABALU: The success and aspirations of Kota Kinabalu Hakka Association and SM Tshung Tsin Sabah in leading forward the development of private schools in the state should be commended.
The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman, said the achievements of the school in defending and preserving the standard of five-star school and performance in both academic and co-curriculum are important.
“It should be uphold and continued to be improved in times to come,” he said during the opening ceremony for Sabah Golden Jubilee and SM Tshung Tsin hostel.
His text speech was delivered by the Minister of Special Task, Datuk Teo Chee kang.
Musa also congratulate the Kota Kinabalu Hakka Association and the school for completing the construction of the five-storey building to accommodate students.
Musa believes that the new dorm facility will cater more students from outside Kota Kinabalu or other countries to pursue knowledge at the school.
Meanwhile, Teo said every year students from private schools in Sabah are exemplary individuals who become valuable human resource in various sectors and contribute their skills for the nation’s development and community building.
Teo also said the achievements of SM Tshung Tsin and other Chinese private schools in Sabah will contribute to the mainstream education sector in Malaysia.
Touching on the new dorm facility, he said the building costing RM6 million will be able to accommodate 250 more students who are qualified to stay at the school hostel. – SayangSabah
