KOTA KINABALU: The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman, said he has ordered the state Education Ministry to investigate the report about several schools in Sabah which have no proper infrastructures including classroom facilities.
According to Musa, he directly ordered the State Education Director, Datuk Jame Anip, to take immediate actions to identify the cause of the situation which has forced the students to utilize tents as a makeshift classroom for their study session.
“I personally have contacted Datuk Jame for explanation and finding out about the situation. This is unacceptable and definitely not conducive for education environment,” he said in his statement, here today.
Musa is responding on the statement made by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, on requesting the Chief Secretary, Tan Sri Ali Hamsa, to investigate and proceed with solutions on the claim about a school in Tuaran which has operated without proper infrastructures and classroom facilities.
Musa wants the responsible party to observe the schools’ condition in Sabah to ensure they meet the requirement and standards of the Education Ministry. – SayangSabah
