Drugs awareness programme this 28 January

TAMBUNAN: Awareness programme on drugs held by PDRM and Tambunan PEMADAM, as well as the blood drive campaign by Tambunan KRT will be held this 28 January at Pisompuruan Square, Tapak Tamu, beginning from 7.30am.

The District Officer, En. Thomas Logijin, said both events will be officiated by the Deputy Chief Minister cum Sabah Infrastructure Development Minister and Tambunan Assemblyperson.

Activities planned for the programmes include the talk session by PDRM and National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK), blood donation campaign, health screening, prize presentation for the Tambunan Cleanliness, Scenic and Tourism Potential Contest, as well as for the Sports Achievement Award, and exhibition by government agencies.

Thomas who is also the chairperson of the organizing committee with the collaboration of District Office, PDRM, PEMADAM, Tambunan KRT, and District Government Agency,  said the events are more on cultivating awareness on safety and threats of drugs abuse.

“During the programmes, presentation of the sports achievement award for Cik Felicia Mikat,  our athlete who won 3 gold medals in the Para Asean Game in Singapore last year will also be held,” he said after chairing the committee meeting, recently. –SayangSabah
