KOTA KINABALU: The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman, expressed his appreciation to all parties that came forward to help and provide donations for the earthquake victims.
He said their contributions through the state Disaster Committee Fund will help reduce the burden of the affected communities in the state.
“I am glad that there are many parties who came forward (to help); not only the government agencies, but also NGOs and corporate sectors in helping the earthquake victims through the state Disaster Fund,” he said.
He was giving his speech during the donation presentation of RM3,000,000 from Petronas to the State Disaster Committee Fund for the earthquake victims.
According to him, the traditions of helping each other especially for those who are in need must be preserved.
Musa also thank Petronas for its donations which he described as a responsible sector in fulfilling its duty for the community.”
‘We will channel the donations to benefit those who require help and to the victims affected by the disaster,” he added. – SayangSabah
