KOTA KINABALU: There must be full cooperation among the people to ensure smooth development.
Kapayan’s People Development Leader (PPM) Liau Su Sang said there is a need for cooperation and commitment from the village security and development committees (JKKK) and urban community development (JKDB) leaders so that he can discharge his duty efficiently.
He said teamwork is needed to implement urgent projects in the constituency effectively for the benefit of the people.
Liau who is in-charge of the PPM Kapayan unit office said this when chairing a dialogue session with the JKKKs and JKDBs leaders under his jurisdiction during a meeting at Wisma Kinsabina on until the next general election.
There meeting was attended by 10 JKKKs and five JKDBs in the Kapayan constituency all of whom were appointed last year to serve for two years.
They have agreed to hold the meeting once in every two months to enable them to report their action plans and progress on the ground.
Meanwhile, MCA Penampang division chairman Datuk Paul Kong Sing Chu and his deputy Datuk Francis Goh Shun Fah, secretary Robert Chin Swee Ming, information chief Gerald Goh Wah Yong, organising secretary Stephen Kong Yin Seng and treasurer Judy Hiew Mui Nyuk were also invited to attend the fruitful meeting.
“The cooperation and contribution from all the leaders will greatly increase the Barisan Nasional (BN) chance to recapture the Kapayan state seat from the opposition,” he said adding that good performances in Kapayan could help BN to win back the Penampang parliamentary seat.-Sayangsabah
