KUCHING: The transport industry is a lucrative industry and many have made a success of it by operating taxi, lorry, bus and tanker service,
said the Sarawak Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (LPKP) deputy chairman Dato’ Peter Minos.
“I wish to see more Dayaks to be involved in the transport industry and you can start small and grow over time,” he added.
Minos was speaking as the guest of honour at the Kuching Bumi Kenyalang Taxi Association (KBKTA) Christmas caroling here last night.
He said many Dayak ex-military personnel and ex-policemen operate taxi and school bus service and were doing well.
“We hope more will come forward and I am sure they will succeed, given the will, grit and determination,” he said.-BERNAMA
