KOTA KINABALU – Silk Garden sited at Sutera Harbour Resort known as one of the finest Chinese restaurants in town is introducing many sumptuous Chinese New Year offerings to mark the occasion.
These options are fit for revellers to usher in the Year of the Wooden Goat.
‘Sau Gong’ which literally means ‘dinner at the closing of work’ is a custom to mark the end of a fruitful year and is usually practised by business establishments before their staff heads home. Another practice is the ‘Kai Gong’ that means to ‘wish all their staff a prosperous new and great year ahead’.
This year, the restaurant chef; Chef Louie Hoi introduces these two special set menus to commemorate the festivity.
‘Toss for prosperity’ and an abundance of wealth with their traditional Yee Sang Set are also available with choices of vegetables yee sang, fresh surf clams yee sang, fresh salmon yee sang or abalone yee sang.
According to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer Gerard Tan, this year Sutera Harbour Resort will hold a lion dance performance on the first day of CNY.
