KOTA KINABALU: The public are invited to visit the Christmas Carnival at Menggatal, themed ‘Christmas Bringing Unity and Peace’, on Dec 4 night.
Kota Kinabalu Mayor, Datuk Abidin Madingkir, was speaking during the 4th Menggatal Christmas Carnival at Kota Kinabalu City Hall.
He said the event will be held at Menggatal Community Hall from 7.00pm until 10.00pm.
“The public are invited to come together to the carnival and enjoy the spirit of unity and diversity,” he said.
Various activities have been planned for the festivities, including tambourine troupe dance, traditional dance, choir, drama, and many more.
Special invitation has also been extended to dancers from Timor Leste to perform their traditional Christmas dances during the carnival’s opening ceremony.
It is the fourth series of the carnival which was held together by churches of various denominations in the district. –SayangSabah
