KUALA LUMPUR: The police detained 22 China nationals working illegally as guest relations officers (GRO) in an anti-vice operation,
dubbed ‘Ops Noda’ in Cheras early today.
The suspects, aged between 23 and 28 were picked up at an entertainment outlet.
DSP Shokri Abdullah, who headed the operation said a local man and two women, believed to have managed the premises were picked up to facilitate investigations.
He said initial investigations revealed the foreign women might have been employed for vice-related activities, as well.
‘Ops Noda’ involved Bukit Aman’s Special Task Force for Anti-Vice, Gaming and Gangsterism and the Cheras police.- BERNAMA
