TENOM: Donations from the public amounting RM6,546 has been raised for the Ranau earthquake disaster fund during the Sabah Murut Artists Charity Concert held at Sedcovest Open Hall, yesterday.
About 100 Murut artists also present to perform at the charity event to help the earthquake victims.
Also attending the concert were Md. Asli Supinin, Azlie Donald, Rayno Ijoe, and Fazlie Musiton who are part of the mountain guides team involved with the rescue efforts to save the stranded climbers at the summit of Mount Kinabalu in 6 June.
The donation will be divided equally for all the mountain guides and Kota Belud residents who are affected by the quake.
The state Minister of Rural Development, Datuk Radin Malleh, in his officiating speech for the event, reminded the public to evaluate every information they receive through the social media and to be mindful in sharing these information as not to create confusion and worries among the diverse communities in Sabah. – SayangSabah
