KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman hoped Malaysians in Sabah particularly Muslims would maintain their tradition of performing charity.
“We are thankful and proud that many Islamic agencies and non governmental organisations are actively carrying out charitable works.
“This encouraging development is a result of the religious education and training we have been providing,” he said at Dewan Saadah, Wisma Muis here tonight, to break fast with Sabah Islamic agencies officers and staff.
Meanwhile, Musa said human capital development must also be given emphasis as it is an important element in the progress and prosperity of the country.
“In this regard, the less fortunate such as orphans should be given due respect and attention, and provided all necessary assistance towards their transformation into human capital that can contribute to the economic and social development of the country,” he said.-BERNAMA
