KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (DPMMS), Sabah Bumiputera Chamber of Commerce (DPBS), and Sabah Malay Businessmen and Industrialists Association of Malaysia (Perdasama) are encouraged to improve their cooperation in bringing development to the bumiputera communities.
The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman, explained that their cooperation will spur bumiputera communities’ success and potential, thus leading to a more stable economy.
“We believe that the cooperation will create broader networks among the chambers’ members as well as the bumiputera communities in the state,” he said during the breaking of fast ceremony with DPMMS, DPBS, and Perdasama, yesterday. His text speech was delivered by the state Deputy Finance Minister, Datuk Ramlee Marhaban.
In the event, Ramlee who represented Musa also presented donations for As Sakinah (Papar) and Al-Aman (Beaufort) orphanages, and Sabah state Mahad Tahfiz Wal Qiraat.
Musa also reminded the three chambers to make contribution from their profits to those in need.
“I believe that the three chambers (commerce) also profit from government development projects. Then there is no harm if some of their revenues are shared with the less fortunate such as poor community and orphans,” he said. – SayangSabah
