KOTA KINABALU: Malaysian Meteorological Department today issued a category two warning for strong wind at waters off Sabah in Kudat beginning today until Sunday (12 July).
In its statement, the department reported that strong southwesterly winds of 50-60kmph with high waves reaching 4.5m off Sabah (Kudat) is expected to continue until Sunday.
The condition poses risk for shipping and shore activities, and dangerous for ferry services and fishing.
Meanwhile, category one warning for strong wind is also issued for the state and the situation is deemed unsafe for small boats, sea recreations, and water sports. – SayangSabah
