Car plunged into a river, three PBS Youth Excos died

KENINGAU: Three Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Youth Excos died in an accident when their vehicle crashed into the river at Jalan Tenom – Keningau, near Kg. Sinangan, yesterday

The victims are Peter Tan Che Vui @ Peter Chin, 33, Dolsin Marindang, 42, and another exco known as Andrew.

It is understood that the victims were on their way to Kota Kinabalu after attending a PBS Youth Exco programme in Tenom.

The accident happened at 11.42pm, when they lost control of their vehicle and crashed, plunging their Honda CRV into the river, crushing the three victims who died at scene due to serious injuries.

Representative of Keningau District Police Headquarters (IPD), said the authority is currently investigating the cause of the accident.

Fire and Rescue personnel were also called to help in releasing the victims’  bodies from their vehicle.

Meanwhile, Barisan Nasional (BN) Secretary, Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, through his Facebook account posted that he was saddened with the loss of three excos which he described as committed members for their party.

“No words can express the grief for their passing,” he posted, and sending his condolences to the victims’ families. – SayangSabah
