KOTA KINABALU: Bureaucracy procedures to approve business license will be reduced soon.
Kota Kinabalu Mayor, Datuk Yeo Boon Hai, said the move is to handle bureaucracy issues which delayed license approvals and encourage participation in business.
“Business is a priority for the community. Any individuals facing problem in applying a license can come and meet me,” he said to the media after visiting the open market near Kota Kinabalu Pasar Besar, this evening.
He also said the state capital’s cleanliness aspect is an important element that he will stresses on as the mayor of Kota Kinabalu.
“Cleanliness aspect of the city is my priority because it affects the tourism industry in our state which is well-known,” he added.
According to the latest statistic, about six million tourists enter the state via Kota Kinabalu, with 172 flights services daily.
Some 540 stalls were set up at the open market and visitors were also entertained with stage performances. –SayangSabah
