TENOM: The Budget 2016 which will be amended by the Prime Minister cum Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak, is hoped to maintain its allocation for rural development.
Tenom MP, Datuk Raime Unggi, said it is important to maintain the fund allocation since the people in rural areas require development from the government to make their life comfortable.
He was speaking to the media after officiating the assembly and parade ceremonies for the district level Maulidur Rasul celebration at Dewan Seri Panglima Antanom, in Saturday.
Besides from prioritizing development for the people, it is hoped that the allocation to fund micro businesses, education, and others will benefit the public to improve their lives.
Meanwhile, Tenom UMNO Youth Chief cum UMNO Information Youth Chief, Jamawi Jaffar, also agrees with the issue.
He explained that with the current unstable economy, the government’s action should revolve on responsible expenditures by utilizing existing and infrastructures, instead of spending for high cost facilities. -SayangSabah
