TENOM: The Budget 2016 for Sabah government as announced by the Chief Minister cum the state Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman, last Thursday, is a boon for the welfare of all communities in the state.
Kemabong Assemblyperson, Datuk Rubin Balang, said the budget is more focused on the development of structures in rural areas, allocation for entrepreneurs, and skills improvement among local communities in generating income through opportunities provided by the government via the 11th Malaysia Plan (RMK-11).
He was speaking after officiating the closing ceremony for the Craft Creative Programme held by Tenom MPWK and Division UMNO Women, at Kg. Bamban Cultural House, last Saturday.
Despite the unpredictable nation’s economy due to the current global economy, he said the state government under the Chief Minister’s leadership is committed to move forward and will be assisted by its agencies.
Rubin also hopes for the next budget for Sabah will continue to focus on providing infrastructure facilities in rural areas, and the state tax collection channelled for development to be increased. –SayangSabah
