KENINGAU: The state government will give a bonus to the Paralympic athlete, Felicia Mikat, for her contribution for the country by winning three gold medals during the ASEAN 2015 Games in Singapore, recently.
Deputy Chief Minister, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin, said the bonus is the government’s recognition for those who make the state and country proud in the international stage.
He was speaking when met by the media after officiating the Keningau MPKP Cooperative Empowerment Programme held by Malaysian Co-operative Commission (SKM) Sabah in Keningau.
He added that the contribution will be channelled to the relevant ministry that is responsible in giving the bonus to the athlete.
The 16-year-old Felicia Mikat from Tambunan, Sabah, blind since birth won three gold medals in the 100M, 200M, and 400M run during the ASEAN Games. –SayangSabah
