Ledang district police chief Supt Mohamad Salleh Abd Razak said the body of the woman, believed to be in her 40s, was found by the employee at 8 am, near the Sri Sakhti Association orphanage.
“The body of the woman was dressed in brown and yellow knee-length gown without any footwear. She was very thin and gaunt with shoulder-length hair and we believe she had been dead for more than 24 hours,” he told reporters.
He said initial investigations by police revealed no external injuries, and the body was sent to the Tangkak Hospital for autopsy, and the cause of death was still being investigated.
Members of the public who have lost a family member can go to the hospital to identify the body, he said.-BERNAMA
