KENINGAU: Police will distribute informative pamphlets regularly to create awareness among the public especially traders on safety and crime prevention.
District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Douglas Nyeging Taong, said the public need to know the method to protect themselves since criminals are getting creative and utilize all sorts of tactics to victimize others.
With the pamphlet distribution, he said the local community will be able to help the authority and themselves in preventing crimes through the guidelines provided by the pamphlet.
“it will not only give information on how to protect themselves and prevent crimes, but also gives the hotline number of every district police headquarters and police stations,” he said after the High Policing Programme and Ramadan Bazaar Tour.
Regarding on the programme, he said besides from monitoring the bazaar activity, it is also to improve police relations with traders and consumers. – SayangSabah
