KOTA KINABALU: A barber was fined with RM25 or risk to be jailed for two days by the Magistrate Court after he admitted guilty for sexually harassing one of his costumer.
Tagung Sali, 45, committed the offense at a saloon in Likas on Nov 20, around 11.50am.
He was charged under Section 8(1)(e) of the Sabah Minor Offense Ordinance which imposed RM25 fine as punishment.
Based on the case fact, the accused was apprehended in 22 November after a report was made by the victim, claiming that she was harassed by the accused when she went to the saloon for a haircut.
In mitigation, the accused pleaded for the Magistrate, Stephani Sherron Abbie, to give lighter punishment and promised not to repeat the same offense in the future.
