KUALA LUMPUR: A total 17 local men were remanded four days from today to help in the investigation of an attack and robbery case in Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara and Dataran Pelangi Utama, Petaling Jaya.
This included two men who were detained on the day of the incident, yesterday.
Petaling Jaya District Police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said 10 men were arrested to help in investigation in the attack at a petrol station in Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara.
Meanwhile, seven more were arrested to help in investigation on the attack at Dataran Pelangi Utama.
In the incident at 5.10 am yesterday, three men were seriously injured after they were attacked by a group of 10 men armed with machete, believed to be robbery-motivated, while filling up at a petrol station in Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara.
In a follow-up to the incident, five members of the group were themselves attacked by a group of men linked to the three victims of the robbery, at Dataran Pelangi Utama at 9 am.- BERNAMA
