KENINGAU: The arrests on nine activists believed to be associated with Sabah Sarawak Keluar Malaysia (SSKM) group in Tuaran and five in Lahad Datu by Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) are lawful due to their seditious elements.
The Deputy Chief Minister, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan said, SSKM movement is not the solution to the problems of a country, instead it is creating unhealthy sentiments in the society.
“Anyone who commit crimes are not excluded from legal actions, because their actions can threaten peace and the security of the country.
“Their actions are not representing the voice of Sabahan in general; only a few people are following them,” he said when met during the Walkabout Programme for Chinese New Year 2015, here yesterday.
Pairin who is also the state Minister of Infrastructure Development, reiterates that SSKM is not the solution, as it is emotional and seditious.
The problems in the country must be discussed for the benefits of all because this country consists of various races and religions, he said.
According to him, the law must be enforced by the authority regardless of the individual’s positions in the government or private sector if they committed crimes or abuse their power. Strict actions will be taken against them. – SayangSabah
