TENOM: Tenom parliamentary has been allocated RM300,000 for mosques and surau development for the year 2016.
Its MP, Datuk Raime Unggi, said the government allocation is for religious activities and restoration projects for mosques and surau for the Muslim communities to perform their prayers.
He was speaking when launching the Corporate Social Responsibility programme with P.180 Parliament member, Tenom District Dakwah Body, and the division UMNO Religious Body, at Dewan Seri Panglima Antanom.
With the huge allocation, he said it will help mosque and surau institution to develop and attract more Muslim communities especially the young generation to get involved and uphold their responsibilities.
At the same time Datuk Raime reminded the local communities regardless of their ethnics or beliefs to protect their unity and not easily deceived by elements that can cause division among them. –SayangSabah
