GEORGETOWN: AirAsia, the world’s best low-cost airline for seven consecutive years is continuing its efforts in developing young talents in
the country by being the Title Sponsor for the upcoming Battle of the Year 2015,
Malaysia’s biggest street dance championship which will see more than 20 street dance groups from around Malaysia compete for the top spot in Queensbay Mall, Penang next month to represent Malaysia at the South Asia competition later this year.
Battle of the Year is the biggest street dance competition in the world, also known as the World Cup of breakdancing. Dance crew from around the world compete in regional preliminaries to qualify into the prestigious finals’ stage, and Battle of the Year Malaysia is the platform for Malaysia’s breakdance crew to qualify for the South Asia round before proceeding to the finals.
Kenneth Tan, Station Head of Penang AirAsia Berhad were present together with Yang Berhormat Puan Chong Eng, Penang State EXCO for Youth and Sports; Women, Family and Community Development at a press conference held today.

An impressive line-up of international judges for Battle of the Year Malaysia 2015 is awaiting all the participants, and the judges are renowned Bboy Iron Monkey, from the United States of America; Bboy Zero Nine from Korea and Bboy Bojin from Taiwan.
AirAsia has been involved in numerous talent and youth development initiatives by creating opportunities and providing the platform to achieve success, recognize their own strengths and potential.
