KOTA KINABALU: Minister of Special Tasks Datuk Teo Chee Kang will grace the Sabah leg of the Amitofo Care Centre (ACC) Humanitarian Mission South East Asia Tour performance as the guest of honour for the event.
Teo commended the organizer for raising awareness for the need to create a caring society through the event. He said that during a courtesy call by the organizing committee led by event chairman Datuk James Hwong and organizing chairlady Datuk Agnes Shim here yesterday.
Teo added that charity work should transcend nationalities and borders, even the poor can perform good deeds by donating 50 sen or a ringgit. The Sabah leg of the touring performance is organized by ACC Africa and co-organized by ACC Sabah and 18 other local associations.
The first performance here will be held at Karamunsing Complex on August 7, 3pm. Admission is free. The second performance, which will be graced by Teo, is held at Yayasan Sabah Auditorium on August 9, 3pm. Admission by tickets only.
ACC is an orphanage aspired to provide a full range of shelter and well-rounded education to orphans. ACC currently has five centres in Africa providing care for more than 8,000 orphans.-Sayangsabah
