PUTRAJAYA: A man was killed while his colleague who is a Chinese national was seriously injured in an accident at Jalan Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA) yesterday.
Sepang police chief ACP Abdul Aziz Alisaid in the 8.30pm incident, the four-wheel drive vehicle driven by Mohd Affendi Mohmmad, 36, was heading to the KLIA terminal before it skidded near the Department of Civil Aviation tower and hit the road shoulder.
He said Mohd Affendi, ae driver of Malaysian Resources Corp Berhad (MRCB) died on the spot while Shang Ming Yang from Shandong, Beijing was brought to Putrajaya Hospital for treatment.
“They were on their way to KLIA to fetch Shang’s friend from China who will be working in the same company.
The incident occurred along the straight road during good weather, with dry road surface. The cause is being investigated,” he told Bernama.
Abdul Aziz said the body of Mohd Affendi was sent to the Serdang Hospital for post-mortem. – BERNAMA
