KOTA KINABALU: In anticipation for the upcoming Christmas celebration, 1Borneo hypermall launched its Everyday Christmas Carnival from 21 November until 3 January next year.
The state Minister of Community Development and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Hajah Jainab Ahmad Ayid, said the carnival is part of the initiative to help the needy.
“Profit from the carnival’s ticket sale will be donated to the education centre ofJireh Community Service Association to help the orphans there,” she said when launching the carnival, here.
Activities planned for the carnival by 1Borneo are family-friendly with the concept of ‘Back to Old Days’, where no electronic toys will be prepared for the occasion.
“Today’s society is swayed with electronics such as mobile phone. The concept applied for the carnival is suitable with the aim to close the ties between family members,” she added.
At the same day Jainab also officiated My Bowl which is the largest bowling centre in Sabah, Escapee Room, and Trick-eye Museum. –SayangSabah
